When I created Saddle the World, I wanted something special—something that captured the deep bond between humans and horses. I found it in an unexpected place: a cave in southern France.
Inside the Chauvet-Pont-d’Arc Cave, over 36,000 years ago, an artist stood in the flickering light of a fire. With only shadows to guide their hand, they painted horses on the walls, capturing their beauty, strength, and spirit. These ancient drawings are the oldest evidence of our relationship with horses. Back then, horses weren’t just animals—they were companions, a way to travel and explore the world.
We may never know who first tamed a horse or what it felt like to ride for the very first time, but these cave paintings show us that this connection goes back thousands of years. It was built on trust, respect, and a shared journey.
I wanted to bring that same spirit to Saddle the World. Our logo is inspired by those ancient paintings—a tribute to the artist who first saw horses as something more. It’s a reminder of the respect and appreciation we still have for horses today.
At Saddle the World, we believe horses are not just part of history—they’re our companions in exploring the world and creating unforgettable experiences. Join us on this timeless journey, and let’s discover the world together, one ride at a time.
